ANTONIO LÓPEZ

   

In my first entry in this new blog I'm starting today, I would like to talk about Spanish painter and sculptor, Antonio López. I recently visited the exhibition at Thyssen museum in Madrid, and I must say that I remained very impressed at the sight of his work. I highly recommend visiting the exhibition. One of the things that caught my attention was the use of colour in his paintings. The number of different tones is countless. Here you can find an example of different colour combinations extracted from one of his paintings  called "Membrillero".

In 2011 fashion shows, fruit as a motif for patterns was very present. My favorite one was Stella McCartney's positional fruit composition. She is clearly in the use of digital prints, no matter the subject is.
